New Braunfels Utilities responded to a sanitary sewer overflow early Wednesday morning after a storm system appeared to have caused a temporary power outage at the Rio Bar Screen Facility, located at 470 Rio Lane.

GATE TESTING will take place on Thursday, APRIL 23, 2026, beginning in the morning and will continue until complete.

Recent rainfall has significantly improved refill conditions across the Guadalupe Valley Lakes. Lake Placid has now returned to normal pool elevation. Lake McQueeney continues to refill and additional progress is expected as inflows continue.
