October 18, 2021 at 4 p.m. CT – GBRA will be temporarily lowering the water level at Lake McQueeney by approximately one foot to allow visibility for evaluation and inspection of the non-responsive spillgate at Lake Placid. The one-foot reduction in water level at Lake McQueeney will take place in the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 19, with the lake level expected to return to normal by late afternoon. The one-foot reduction in water level will be accomplished by passing flows through the powerhouse and will not involve spillgate operations.
