The Board of Directors for Lake McQueeney Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 (LMWCID 1 or the District) would like to provide residents an update on the work performed so far at the dam for the Lake McQueeney Spillgate Replacement and Dam Armoring Project.
To date, the contractor has accomplished the following:
- Built the limestone base/soil ramp for access to the north embankment concrete wingwall demolition area
- Demolition work at the north embankment concrete wingwall
- Excavated and removed wingwall concrete rubble and placed crane mats for the long reach excavator
- Assembled the 130-Ton crawler crane at the laydown area
Additionally, there is ongoing limestone base and wooden mat installation upstream of the north embankment, creating a temporary working platform for the trestle bridge construction.
We encourage leveraging the district website for your updates, as we ensure we are sharing accurate information. If residents have additional questions regarding the Lake McQueeney Spillgate Replacement and Dam Armoring Project, please use the “Contact Us” form on the District website.
